Selection
Choose spears that have a vibrant green color and firm texture with attached tips intact. Avoid any specimens that look limp, wilt or display any signs of discoloration.
Storage
Store unwashed jumbo asparagus in a plastic bag and place inside the refrigerator. When ready to use, wash and prepare as directed. Asparagus will keep for up to one week when stored properly in the refrigerator.
