The leaves may also be chopped up for sandwiches wraps or tacos or can be added to soups for an extra crunchy texture. When cooked, Red Leaf lettuce can be added to stir-fries, sautéed with garlic and oil or steamed. It can also be used in hot dishes like lasagna or casseroles. When cooking the leaves it is best to add them near the end of the cooking process so they stay firm and crunchy.
