Seasons/Availability

Red Grape tomatoes are available year-round.

Storage

Red Grape tomatoes should be kept at room temperature and stored in a single layer with their stems pointing up. If possible, try to store the tomatoes away from direct sunlight exposure as this can cause the fruits to overheat and spoil prematurely. The tomatoes will stay fresh for 5-7 days when properly stored. For optimal shelf life, refrigerate Red Grapes without washing them first in an airtight container for up to 14 days; however, once refrigerated, they will no longer ripen. Additionally, it is best to consume the tomatoes soon after harvesting as they are not known for their long-term storage capabilities.

Usage

Due to its small size and sweetness, Red Grape tomatoes are best suited for raw preparations, as their flavor is highlighted when consumed fresh. They can be mixed into salads, added to avocado toast, or eaten plain as a snack. They can also be cooked down into sauces and salsas, roasted and served as an accompaniment to proteins, or pickled in vinegar-based marinades for extended shelf life. Red Grape tomatoes pair well with herbs such as basil and parsley, garlic, shallots, peppers, olives, onions, cheeses like feta cheese and goat cheese, meats such as ham and bacon, and grilled corn.

Nutrition

Red Grape tomatoes are rich in vitamins A and C which help build immunity against disease; they also contain lycopene that helps protect against cancer. Additionally, Red Grapes are an excellent source of dietary fiber and potassium, both important for digestion and heart health.

Red Grape tomatoes are low in calories and contain few carbohydrates, making them an ideal snack for weight management.
